ANTONI MARIAN NOWICKI Peacefully, Antoni passed away on August 29, 2002 at the Concordia General Hospital at the age of 88 years. Antoni is survived by his only niece Barbara Dobrostanski (Australia) one cousin Krystyna Domanska (Poland) two very close "adopted" daughters, Patricia Sobkovich and Artmia Winters of Winnipeg. Antoni was a very intelligent man of integrity. Born in Poland in 1914, where Antoni received his elementary, and high school education. He started J.K. University and on August 28, 1939 enlisted with the Polish Armed Forces, and soon found himself in France. He was discharged in 1948. In 1951 Antoni came to Canada and worked with the Sterling Cloak Co. until retirement. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Branch 246. Special thanks to Dr. J. Drexler and the staff on the 2nd floor west of the Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marys Polish National Catholic Church, 361 Burrows Ave. with Father Monsignor W. Cwieka officiating followed by a military ceremony. His ashes will be placed in the family grave in Poland. In lieu of flowers, donations in Antonis memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
