JENNIE POPOWICH (nee SERNYK) Peacefully, on Monday, September 9, 2002 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Jennie Popowich passed away at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel; brothers, Louis and Alex; and sisters, Dora, Nettie, Anne, Mary, and Olga. She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, other parts of Canada, and the United States. Jennie graduated from St. Johns High School and following a year at Normal School, taught in the Pine Falls area prior to her marriage. For many years she resided in Charleswood where she was a member of Charleswood United Church. Recently, she was a resident of Lions Manor and Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held. Jennie will be laid to rest with her husband Daniel in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
