WILLIAM (BILL) A. McIVOR With sadness we announce the passing of Bill McIvor on Wednesday, September 11, 2002, in the Grace Hospital at the age of 84 years. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Laura in 2001; a sister Olive Ouellette; and three brothers, John, Cecil and Clifford. Surviving are three sisters, Violet LaFerriere, Margaret (Joe) McDonald and Elsie McAdam; brother-in-law Phillip Pruden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Bill was born in Saskatchewan and later moved to Manitoba as a young man. He joined the Army and served overseas from 1940 until 1945. Following his return, Bill worked several different jobs, retiring from Trans Air in the store department in the early 1980s. Bill enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing cards. He loved being in the company of family, friends and especially children and young adults. Prayers will be said Sunday September 15 at 7:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with funeral mass to follow Monday morning, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 748 Keewatin St., with Msgr. M Comeault the celebrant. Pallbearers will be Wayne Sawatzky, Trevor Sawatzky, T.J. Sawatzky, Shaun Ouellette, Terrance Ouellette and Guy Ouellette. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to express thanks to Collette and Louisa 3N at the Grace Hospital, and also Richard Poirier for all his help and support. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
