JOSE VIEIRA MIRA 1932 - 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Vieira Mira on Saturday, August 24, 2002 in Portugal at the age of 69 after being ill for a short time. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Amelia of 40 years; his children, Fernando (Maria), Carlos (Susy) and Nelson; his grandchildren, Angelina, Sabrina and Alex; his brothers, Antonio (of Winnipeg), Garcia (of Portugal) and David (of Portugal) and his sisters, Maria (of Portugal), Ermalinda (of Portugal), many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends. Jose was born and raised in Gaiteiros, Portugal. He spent some time working in France and Angola. He immigrated to Canada in 1972, where he worked at Frank Fair Industries until his retirement. He enjoyed a very fulfilling life. He always took pleasure in spending time with his family, working on cars, gardening and vacationing in Portugal. Christian burial took place in Portugal. There will be a mass intention for him on Thursday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St., Winnipeg. "It broke our hearts to lose you however, you did not go alone. Part of us went with you, the day God called you home."
