Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ROY MILLER On Friday, September 27, 2002, Roy Miller, beloved husband of Donnie Miller, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years in the Riverview Health Care Centre after a lengthy struggle with Parkinsons and cancer. Besides his loving wife, he leaves to mourn his daughters, Linda and Wayne Paquin, Cathy Miller, and Donna Miller and Marc Monnin, all of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Karen Paquin of Toronto, Stephen Paquin, Caroline and Paul Monnin of Winnipeg; and his sisters, Betty and Jack Mackesy of Hamilton and Audrey and Joe Shestko of Winnipeg. Roy was born in Winnipeg on December 25, 1918 and spent his life here. As a young man he joined Maytag and later purchased Home Appliance. He was a life member of St. Stephens Broadway United Church (now Broadway Disciples United Church) and served the church tirelessly throughout his life until his health began to fail. He was also a member of the St. Boniface Golf Club. He enjoyed the time he spent at his summer home in Matlock. A celebration of Roys life will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Dr. Ray Cuthbert officiating. A reception will follow. The family would like to thank the staff of 3E Riverview for taking care of Roy over the last three months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roys memory to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1M5 or Broadway Disciples United Church, 396 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0V6.
