ELSIE BEITZ (nee HUEBNER) After a lengthy illness, Elsie passed away on November 1, 2002 at age 82. She was born in Rosenfeld, MB on November 27, 1919. Mum was predeceased by her beloved husband Fred in August of 1985. She is survived by her son Brian, his wife Linda and grandsons, Jason and Andrew. Mum is survived by her sister Ida Rentz, special sister-in-law Molly Schultiess, dear friends, Nettie and Chris Baschuk and numerous other family members and friends. Mum lived for, and loved her children deeply. Mum loved to knit and crochet, as well as doing many other handicrafts. She took pleasure in visiting her relatives and numerous friends and never forgot those who needed a friendly visit or helping hand. Mum, you fought the good fight and have earned your rest. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Neal Lerner, who cared for Mum for many years, Dr. S. Husarewycz and the wonderful nurses and staff on 3U3 at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. A memorial service is to be held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St. on Tuesday, November 5, at 10:30 a.m.. with Pastor Michael Kurtz officiating. Flowers gratefully declined and if desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
