LILLIAN IVY MESSETT (nee SHORTER) On Sunday, November 3, 2002, Lillian Messett, widow of the late Clarence "Bud", passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years. Lillian is survived by daughter Noreen (Denny) and son Leslie all of Tecumseh, MI; sister-in-law Janet Shorter of Winnipeg; Edna Messet of Saskatoon, SK and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and brother Leslie. Lillian was a lifetime resident of Winnipeg. During the summer months, she and her family all enjoyed the cottage at Grand Beach. She always looked forward to get together with her friends on Second Avenue. The winter months, she worked at the Granite Curling Club where she developed friendships that lasted for many years. She spent her later years at the Golden Door Centre on Pembina Highway. Special thanks to Emma, Patricia and all the staff at Golden Door. We appreciate everything you have done with all your care and kindness. A private family service has already taken place.
