Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySALLY STEPHANIE ROE 1911 - 2002 Peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Oakview Place, Sally Roe passed away in her 91st year. The youngest of 10 children, she was born to Stephan and Anastasia Skopyk on October 18, 1911. Although the family farmed near Grahamdale, MB, she spent most of her life in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Roy, in 1991 and her youngest son T. Doug Roe, in July, 2002 and previously all nine of her siblings. Sally is survived by her remaining children, Irene (Bill) Jashewski, (Barbara, Jim, Blake, Eric and Karen), Marilyn (Don) Leitch, (Bruce, Brian, Glenn and Mark), Bob (Lori), (Lisa, Jodi), Ed (Elizabeth) (Jennifer, Allison), Alison (Dougs wife), (Ryan, Brianne) and seventeen great-grandchildren. She had always been a determined and independent woman with a flair for business. She was a hardworking, business-minded woman and was quite proud of the fact that she owned her own restaurant. She was a very creative woman with a quick wit. She was a dedicated fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and was delighted every time they won. She was also very proud of her family. Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave., with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Extendicare Oakview Place for the sensitive compassionate care extended to our mother during her final year. If friends so desire, donations in Sallys memory may be made to St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1S3, The Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, or a charity of your choice.
