Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN NATHAN MANDEL June 29, 1936 - November 6, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and zaida. Allan passed away after a long battle with kidney disease and Diabetes. He is survived by his wife Estrid; their children, Cary, Marni (Miki), Michael (Jamie), Rachel (Joe) and grandchildren, Maayan, Maytar and Sagiv. Allan also leaves behind his brother Oscar. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in accountancy, but his love and career was the cattle industry, and later real estate. Allans main priority throughout his life was his family. He gave unconditionally and never asked for anything in return. All those who were fortunate enough to have known Allan will remember his quick wit, his honesty, the size of his overflowing heart and his special way of making people happy in his presence. During his long stay in St. Boniface Hospital he made a major impact on doctors, nurses, technicians and patients alike. His family sincerely thanks everyone who treated him with great respect, compassion and understanding, especially everyone on 5A, his home for many months. Funeral services took place at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Shaarey Zedek Memorial Park. Shiva was observed at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allans memory to the Kidney or Diabetes Foundation, or charity of your choice.
