Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY "HY" POLSON Henry "Hy" Polson passed away peacefully November 16, 2002 at age 87. A kind and gentle man, Hy was born in Winnipeg in 1915. He is survived by Daully, his loving wife of 58 years; his children, Kathryn (Hugh) of Toronto, Alan (Susan) of Scottsdale and Roberta (Richard) of Phoenix and his seven beloved grandchildren, David (Pauline), Amy (Joe) and Ethan Ferguson, Adam and Matthew Polson and Jana and Michael Wall. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Minnie Wyman, Leah Posner and Sylvia Posner and by numerous nephews and nieces. Hy was predeceased by his parents, David and Rebecca and by his five siblings, Sam, Lou, Harry, Verna Amitin and Mary Senensky. Hy was a lover of nature. He enjoyed gardening, his cottage at Gimli and his many fishing trips. He adored his seven grandchildren and greatly enjoyed all the quality time he spent with them. His seven devoted grandchildren were his pallbearers. Hy was a compositor and owned and operated Paramount Printing with his late brother-in-law Ben Posner. He was an ardent Zionist and especially treasured his trip to Israel where he worked on a JNF program. Hy was a veteran of the Second World War and was an active member of General Monash Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was also a longtime member of the Rosh Pina Synagogue, the Winnipeg Ostomy Association and the Stay Young Group. Hy was a resident of Deer Lodge Centre at the time of his passing.
