JAMES BENJAMIN RACHWALSKI Peacefully, on December 4, 2002 after a brief illness, Jim passed away at Concordia Place Care Centre. He was 88 years old. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Joanne Schoen, Judy (Roger) Stuart and his grandchildren, Dana (Don) Ewonchuk, Kevin (Teresa) Stuart, Nicole Stuart and his great-grandchild Satia Solodky (Stuart). Jim is also survived by his sister Millie Bile and nephew Richard Bile. He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years Ann (Gordij) his brother Stan, and sister Pauline Teerlinck, formerly of Florida. Jim was born in Fraserwood, MB, but grew up and went to school in East Kildonan. He was employed by Radio Oil for many years and then went on to drive taxi for Red Patch until he retired in 1979. He loved to drive and was always helpful and courteous with his customers. His hobbies were puttering around the house and helping his elderly neighbours. He was a kind, gentle and generous soul who never complained and found that the simple pleasures of life were all that he required. Dad was a wonderful father and grandfather. We shall all miss him. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Concordia Hospital and the staff at Concordia Place Care Centre. A funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on December 10 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
