Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD P. SCHRYER Ronald P. Schryer, aged 61 years, of Sandy Hook, died on December 4, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born on August 21, 1941, in Winnipeg, son of John and Florence Irene (Weiss) Schryer. He was a 30 year member of the Winnipeg Sports Car Club holding various offices, including president, a founding member of the Gimli Motor Racing Association, and a member of the Gimli Lutheran Church. Ron loved to travel, dine out and experience new foods, reading, and he never met a stranger. Rons passion was competing in races, rallies and the sports car fraternity. Ron was a true survivor and overcame many adversities in his life. He was an inspiration to those who truly knew him. Ron is survived by special, loving companion Melissa Lissie Wilson of Ohio, daughter Kirsten Dann of Gimli, son William Anderson of Winnipeg, grandchildren, Aarica, Tyler, Emily, Owen, Tamara and Liamm; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Marion Schryer of Victoria, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of loyal friends. Special heart felt thanks to Evan Finney for his care, concern and visits to Ron. As well as to, Brenda Krulicki and Sandra, Eilleen, Freda, Bev, Pat, Anna, Penny and Lisa, for the excellent care provided to Ron. At his request there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
