Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA DAWISKIBA Suddenly, on Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at 6:20 p.m., Anna Dawiskiba passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Anna leaves behind her beloved husband Joseph, who loved her and cared for her until her last day. Anna also leaves behind her four daughters, Josephine, Angela, Krystyna and Diane. Anna was blessed with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Anna was born on December 24, 1922, in Kobylowloki, USSR, the daughter of Stanislaw and Parakselia Wnuk. She married at age 21 on August 7, 1943, in Kobylowloki, USSR to Joseph Dawiskiba. They lived together until Joseph was called into the Second World War and taken away to serve in the army in April 1944. He left Anna with child. Anna lived through the war and then came by train with her daughter Josephine to reunite with her husband in Przemysle, Poland. Together they travelled to their life long residence, Gora, pow. Nysa, Poland. There they lived, loved and worked hard together as farmers as they raised four daughters for 25 years. In January 1967, Anna and Joseph sent their daughter Angela to Winnipeg, MB, who was sponsored by Maria and Stanislaw Podboroczynski. In April 1972, Anna and Joseph again sent their second daughter, Krystyna, to Winnipeg. She was sponsored by her sister Angela. On August 24, 1973, Anna, Joseph and their daughter Diane came to Winnipeg, who were in turn sponsored by their daughters Angela and Krystyna. At last, together Anna and Joseph sponsored their fist born daughter, Josephine, with her whole family in September 1981. Prayers will be held on Friday, December 13 at 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 204-825 Sherbrook St., R3A 1M5.
