ELIZABETH (BETTY) M. THOMAS Peacefully, with her family at her side, on December 25, 2002, Betty passed away at the age of 69. Betty leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 49 years, Roy; her son Tom, wife Lori and children, Tyler, Teighan and Troy; her son Mark, wife Shauna and children, Heather and Brandon. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Marion and brother-in-law Vernon Curle, Edna and brother-in-law Murray Smith; her brothers, Lawrence Campbell and Bert Campbell; sisters-in-law, Mary and Ethel Campbell and brother-in-law Clarence Parsons. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was born on April 14, 1933, the youngest of nine children, and was raised in the Edrans and Helston Districts. She took hairdressing training at Red River Community College in Winnipeg and worked in Neepawa when she met a young man who had returned from service at sea during the Second World War. After dating for four years, Betty and Roy were married on October 16, 1953. They made their home in the yellow house on the hill on the east side of town where they raised their two children. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Neepawa United Church. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bettys memory to either CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R3E 0V9 or Neepawa Palliative Care, P.O.
