CARRIE WILMA PLATT A gentle soul was released on January 4, 2003. Wilma passed away at her home at the age of 81. Wilma was predeceased by her husband Jack (1992). She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by children, Gary (Gayle), Lenore (Celeste), Wendy (Bill) grandchildren, Glen, Aynsley, Scott, Erin and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Matthew; sister Lottie Thompson; sister-in-law Pat Watson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Wilma was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. Home and family were her life. She was pivotal in keeping the family connected. She showed strength and had little complaint during her struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. We will remember her contagious smile, marvellous wit and humour. We miss our fair blue eyed Wilma. The family is most appreciative of the respect, gentle care and warm affection provided by home care workers that allowed Wilma to stay in her home as she so strongly desired. In keeping with Wilmas wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial service is on Friday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
