Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KITTY) THORSTEINSON Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, Kitty Thorsteinson aged 92 years of Gimli, MB. Kitty is survived by her daughter Joyce Gray; granddaughters, Colleen, Lynda (Mike), and Diane (Ron) seven great-grandchildren; along with many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her spouse Andres (Andy) in (1982) and one brother Fred Lang in (2002). Kathleen was involved for many years with the Husavik Ladies Aid. As well, she was a member of both the Husavik Church and was one of the original members of the New Horizons Senior Club of Gimli. It was there that Kitty enjoyed singing in the seniors choir. She had a love for sewing, pettipoint, needlepoint cooking and singing. Kitty had resided at the Betel Waterfront Centre for the past two and a half years, where she enjoyed many lasting friendships. Prior to her move to Gimli, she had lived at the family homestead for nearly 70 years. A memorial service in celebration of Kittys life will be held on Monday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church, with Pastor George Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
