GEORGINA EILEEN TURNER (TOOTS) 1912-2003 Peacefully on Sunday February 2, 2003, our beloved sister and aunt passed away in her sleep at the Concordia Hospital. Georgina (Toots) leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Audrey Russell; her niece Shannon Gerylo (Carl) her great-nephew Robert Lentowich (fiance Nietta) her great-niece Krista Weiser (Steven) and her great-great-niece Marah; great-great-nephews, Aeryk and Jakob. Toots was predeceased by her parents, Herb and Ethel Turner; sister and brother-in-law Verna and Bob Eley; brother-in-law Sandy Russell; and cousin Ruth Erlandson; and beloved pet Slippers. Toots was born July 3, 1912 in Winnipeg and worked for The Bay as a buyer before moving to Santa Ana, CA where she resided and worked for Buffins Department Store for several years. Toots returned to Winnipeg in the early 1970s. Toots was an avid reader and seamstress. She loved discussing current affairs with family and friends. Toots was a longtime member of the Kilcona Alliance Church. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
