JEAN THORKELSSON Jean Thorkelsson passed away suddenly on the 4th of February, 2003 at the age of 46 in the Toronto Rehab. Jean was an artist and in spite of the presence of MS in her life, she never stopped making art and identifying herself as an artist. Jean was a very beloved and loving daughter to Margaret and Edwin Thorkelsson of Winnipeg and sister to Lynne of Port Perry, Ione of Roseisle and Anne of Winnipeg. Life will never be the same without her joyful smile and wonderful sense of humour. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, Ron Peter (Lynne), David Arnott (Ione) and Jim Gregorchuk (Anne). She loved deeply and was very proud of her niece Maggie Gregorchuk and her two nephews, John and Charles Arnott and they will miss their Aunt Jean. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Pattison. Her many aunts, uncles and cousins in Manitoba and across Canada will also miss her especially her "Antidote," Dorothy and cousin Joan and her Aunt Fae and cousin Nicki. Jean was a great inspiration to all she met because of her wonderful ability to find joy in every day and in art and music no matter what troubles life brought her way. The service was held February 9 in Toronto. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Winnipeg.
