JOANNE BEGLEY Joanne Begley was born on March 7, 1948 in Morris. She passed away with grace and dignity with her family by her side on Monday, February 10, 2003 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre. Joanne fought a short and intense battle with cancer, and bravely succumbed to the illness without a complaint. Joanne worked most of her life in finance, spending the last nine years at the Agassiz Credit Union in Morden. She loved her job and spoke highly of her co-workers. She was predeceased by her father Jacob, brother David, and sister Kathie. Joanne is lovingly remembered by her partner and friend Bill Denby (Blaine, Taylor; Jessie) son Dean (Leah and Gabe) daughter Robyn (Gary and Nakiah) along with their father Tim Begley. Joanne is survived by her mother Kathleen Derksen; sisters, Genevieve (Oliver; Adam and Margaret, babies Kiera; Matthew), Carol (Howard; Julie and Lee; Kristen and Shelley; Sarah and Grady, baby Hazel), Shauna (Dustin, Jordan and Katrina) brothers, Jim (Alana; Amara), Tom (Billie; Raina, Jacob), John (Kathy; Joey, Crystal; Tia) and Davids son Brandon. She is loved and will be missed by Annabell Denby, Glen and Cheryl Peterson, special friends Terry and Gale Gibson, numerous other friends, family, and co-workers. Joanne touched so many lives throughout her time here. She was an avid gardener, a skilled woodworker, and a talented craftswoman. She worked with many of her close women friends in projects ranging from building outdoor willow furniture to creating beautiful and unique craft objects. They shared a special bond, and a bit of the grape. Special thanks to Dr. Menzies, Dr. Botha, and the nursing staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre. We appreciate Joannes co-workers who sent stuff everyday. Thank you for joining us at the Morris Fellowship Chapel at 223 Mary St. South in Morris at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Boundary Trails Health Centre Palliative Care Unit. Joannes buddy Lillie has been adopted by Dean, and will be spending her Golden Years on the Sunshine Coast! Morris Funeral Home Phone 746-2451 Toll Free 1-866-746-2451
