BILL HUNCHY POLSON 1927 - 2003 Peacefully, on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at the health Sciences Centre, our beloved brother and uncle Bill passed away at the age of 75 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Bill was the first child of Joseph and Mary Polson and he was born on December 25, 1927. He was predeceased by his father Joseph in 1949 and mother Mary in 1980. Bill will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by brothers, Danny, Peter (Charlene), Jerry (Louise), and John (Cathy) sisters, Della (Bill), Emily, Jennie and Olga (Donald) nephews, Alan, David, Paul, Robert, Kevin, Brent, and Jonathan; nieces, Dawn-Marie, Laurel, Wendy, Dineen and Melissa; many great-nieces and nephews. Bill received the nickname Hunchy from his friends years ago. He always had a hunch and so those who knew him over the years, knew him as Hunchy. Hunchy retired from the City of Winnipeg in 1982. He was an avid gardener and looked forward to enjoying apples from the tree in the backyard. The numerous family gatherings were highlights for him. Gambling trips with his brothers and sisters were also something he looked forward to, win or not. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Appler, David Brown, Paul Brown, Robert Fedoruk, Brent Polson and Jeffrey Appler. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to the Cancer Society (MB division) in Bills memory.
