STANLEY DONALD PRICE Peacefully on February 25, 2003 at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall, Stan passed away at the age of 84 years. Stan will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Isobel, who has devoted her life to his care since he suffered a stroke in 1986; his son Don (Donna) and his grandchildren, Wendy (Ross Dudek) and Steven. Stan was predeceased by his eldest son James in 1963. Born August 22, 1918 in Lougheed, AB, he moved to Warren, MB at the age of 19 to work with his uncle Harry Price. With the exception of five years spent in Thunder Bay, ON as a flight engineer during the Second World War, Stan called Warren his home until 1994 when he and Isobel moved to Lions Manor in Stonewall. Stan farmed at Warren until he retired in 1975 and they moved into their new home south of Warren in 1977. His favorite past times were hunting, fishing, golfing, curling and wood carving. He had some especially great memories of his time spent hunting and fishing with his best chum, Burt Brown of English River. The family wishes to thank the staff at Rosewood Lodge, the homecare workers at Lions Manor and the Doctors and Nurses at Stonewall Hospital for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place and a service in celebration of Stans life will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best officiating. A private family interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stans memory may be made to Rosewood Lodge, 513 - 1st Ave. North, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0.
