WAYNE BEDARD Suddenly at his residence in Selkirk, A.E. Wayne Bedard, aged 63 years, left us on Sunday March 2, 2003. Wayne was born on May 22, 1939 in his home town of Selkirk. He grew up on Rosser Avenue and after his marriage in June 1967 he moved to Louise Bay. Wayne retired five years ago after 36 years at the Manitoba Rolling Mills. During retirement he enjoyed spending time at home and working on his water garden. Left to mourn is his best friend and cherished wife of 35 years, Mildred; jewels in his crown were Darrell and wife Barb, Dwayne, Joy Lynne and friend Patrick; his diamonds were his grandchildren, Breanna and Evan; and four legged friend, Ty. Also surviving is sister Shirley Wiley (Jim) of Winnipeg, nephew Scott and niece Heather and families and brother-in-law Garth Jacob of Foxwarren. He was predeceased by his dad, Alfred in March 1969, his mom, Flo in May 1979 and father-in-law Frank Jacob in 2000. Wayne got great enjoyment watching his children play hockey, baseball, soccer and ringette. He was a quiet, kind and generous man who enjoyed family gatherings and listening to music. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Viewing prior to the service with cremation to follow.
