Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEFFREY DEAN CAIRNS It is with great sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved Jeffrey Dean Cairns on Friday, February 28, 2003. Jeff was born on April 22, 1979 in Killarney, MB and will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Darlene and Cliff Duncan; sister Jolene Stevenson (Bill), Jeremy and Emily; brother Scott (Jacki) and Alexis; grandparents, Bud and Lill Currie and Bob and Lily Duncan; special aunts, Brenda, Lana, Wanda and uncle Dean. He also leaves many other aunts, uncles, special cousins and friends too numerous to mention. His second family and home away from home, Doug Poirier and the wonderful staff at the Riverboat Restaurant where he was employed as a cook. He spent his elementary school years in Carman and moved with his family to Selkirk where he graduated from high school in 1999. Jeff was a very generous and caring person who loved fishing, golf, in-line skating and just being with his many friends. Some of his most cherished memories were of his time spent in Killarney. A special interest of Jeffs was the Firefighters Burn Fund. He volunteered his time and loved cooking for their dinners. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any donations go to this charity. A viewing will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5 (tonight) in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m., also in the chapel. Cremation will follow. A special thank you to the many friends who spent so many hours searching, to Cpl. Cliff Russell who went above and beyond his duties, to Christine and Darren for their efforts and support during this very difficult time. Words cannot express our gratitude. There is a brighter star in heaven We will miss you forever. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
