LILLIAN JEANNETTE PODWYSOCKI (nee BONDARANKO) Peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the age of 80, Lillian passed away at Poseidon Care Centre with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband William Philip Podwysocki, and her brother John Bondaranko. She is survived by her son Mark (Marlene) daughter Patricia Collins (Bob) son Jeff (Alison) and grandchildren, Michael, Sean, Lisa, Michael, Kurtis and Kelsi. She is also survived by her sisters, Vera Winter, Claudia Koche, Dorothy Chomokovski, Jenny Giesbrecht and Elizabeth Cielen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was born in Winnipeg on August 8, 1922 to John and Mary Bondaranko and was the oldest of seven children. She was a talented seamstress and cake decorator. As a seamstress she was employed over the years at Peerless Garments, Howell Mfg., and at Tan Jay. After her retirement she spent her time caring for her children, grandchildren and for her husband Bill until her passing. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or to give a caring word to those who needed them. This helped her make many friends over the years. Every person was treated specially, and to Lillian they were all special. The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Care Centre for all their help and support. A special thanks to the first floor nursing staff for their exceptional care and compassion. The family would also like to thank Lils neighbour Grace Archibald for her many years of loyal friendship. A celebration of Lillians life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 3 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lillians name to "The Deck Fund", Poseidon Care Centre, 70 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, MB R3M 3E5. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
