CHRISTOPHER G. V. POPIEL It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Popiel, with his family by his side, at the Health Science Centre on April 25, 2003 at the age of 53. Chris will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Gisele; sons, Andre and Jean-Paul; daughter Monique (Chris Asselstine), grandchildren, Dylan and Jaden; his mother Josephine Popiel; his brother Phil Popiel; his father-in-law Alcide LaBossiere (Florence) his brothers-in-law, Phil LaBossiere (Anita) and Denis LaBossiere (Barbara Shields) nieces, Christine LaBossiere and Lindsey Popiel and nephews, Eric LaBossiere and Jonathan Popiel. Chris was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Chriss life will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Chriss memory to the CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
