NETTA FLORENCE PRICE (nee LATHROPE) Peacefully, on April 24, 2003, with her family at her side, Netta passed away at River East Personal Care Home. Netta was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Stanley Price, sisters, Mary, Amy and Hilda; and brother Charles. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Dorothy, brother Jack (Anne), sister-in-law Eleanor Price, and six children, Bob and grandchildren, Michael and Stephen, Gordon (Donna), Bronwen (Wayne) and grandchildren, Laura, Brian and Tamara, Catherine (David) and grandchild Matthew, Hugh (Elizabeth) and grandchild Thomas, and Glenn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Netta was born in Shoal Lake, MB on August 15, 1918. She met and married Stan in Winnipeg in 1946 and raised her family there. Netta spent most of her years attending to the needs of others. She cherished the time spent with her family. Our Mom and Grandma had a gentle and comforting manner. She had a special gift with children and was happiest when she had one in her lap. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their compassionate care and support, particularly Theresa. Cremation has taken place. A private interment and memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB, the Parkinsons Society of Manitoba, or Cancer Care Manitoba.
