FRANK RAMLAL RAMJATTAN November 28, 1912 - May 10, 2003 Peacefully passed away at the Golden Links Nursing Home, St. Vital. He will be kindly remembered by his sons, Kenneth (Peggy) Ramlal, Frank (Ena) Ramlal; his grand-children, Patricia Ramlal, Wayne (Janet), Derek (Diane), Darren (Roseanne) and Debra (Andrew) Scott of Bermuda; his great-grandchildren, Kristin, Kailey, Daniel, Zara and Mira; and his great-great-grandson Syrel; as well as his numerous nephews and nieces in Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Florida, the United Kingdom and Trinidad. Frank was predeceased by his first wife Roonie in 1947 and his second wife Diana in 1992 and all his siblings. Frank was born and raised in Trinidad and spent the major portion of his adult life there where he worked in general construction. He immigrated to Winnipeg in 1968 and worked at the University of Manitoba in building maintenance until his retirement in 1977. He lived for several years on Carter Avenue and then Rathgar Avenue until ill health made it necessary for him to require personal care. He spent the last year in the Golden Links Lodge where he received the utmost in loving care and attention by all the staff. He entertained the staff and other residents with his singing of old time songs and hymns. The family would like to specially thank the staff of the second floor at Golden Links Lodge. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00 a.m. at the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Golden Links Lodge, 2280 St. Marys Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3T9.
