EVA PODUSHKO It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and Baba on May 26, 2003. She was born in Kharkiw, Ukraine in 1913. Eva immigrated to Canada with her husband and children in 1949. She was a longtime member of St. Mary the Protectress and was active in her church. Eva loved gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family. She gave her love freely and unconditionally. Eva was predeceased by her husband Ilko in 1995. She will be sadly missed by her children, Lucy (Don) Hollyer, Walt (Debbie) Podushko; her grandchildren, Greg, Taras (Farzana), Tanya, Pamela (Keith), Debra, Denise (Kevin), Michele, Nancy (Rob) and great-grandchildren, Aisha, Ameena, Hasan, Jessica (TJ), Dakota, Nick, Cory, Mathew and Noah. Prayers will be sung 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. with Rev. Fr. Jaroslaw S. Buciora officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2.
