DOREEN DORA PROBIZANSKI On Thursday, June 5, 2003 Doreen, aged 89 years, passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre, where she was a resident for 17 years. She was born on February 11, 1914 in Stuartburn, MB, the daughter of the late Wasyl and Teodoska Probizanski. Doreen was predeceased by her husband John Malyk, sisters, Annie Rekunyk, Mary Probeck, Helen Moncek and a sister in infancy; brothers, Bill, John and Morris who died in action; sister-in-law Olga Yurechuk. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Theresa Minski (John), Lawrence Malyk, Joan Follette (David) and James Malyk (Cheryl) 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister Verna Soltys; brother Peter; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Deer Lodge Centre Chapel, 2109 Portage Ave. Private family interment will be held at Transcona Cemetery. We the family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of the 4th floor Deer Lodge Centre for all the wonderful care and support they gave to our mother during her lengthy stay with them.
