GILBERTO TORRES (1949 - 2003) Peacefully, on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Health Sciences Hospital, Gilberto passed away with his family by his side. He will be deeply remembered and missed by his loving wife Elvia; his two children, Stuart and Gabby, and truly cherished by family and friends. Gilberto was born in El Salvador, he lived in Winnipeg for 18 years and worked for the City of Winnipeg since 1988. Gilberto enjoyed soccer, fishing, hunting, baseball and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Gilberto was a caring, thoughtful, hardworking and loving person, who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 12, 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford St. with interment to follow in Garry Memorial Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Thank you sincerely for sharing our sorrow Your sincerity and comfort is truly appreciated.
