WILLIAM (BILL) WEISS December 23, 1911 - June 7, 2003 Peacefully, on Saturday, June 7, 2003 William Weiss, beloved husband of Ida, passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 91. Bill is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Ida; daughter Melita Tonogai; son Clifford Weiss-Bundy; daughter-in-law Patricia; granddaughters, Krysta and Karyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Other than his family, Bill dedicated his life to music, as a piano technician, tuner and restorer. He provided his expertise to the Schools of Music at the University of Manitoba, Brandon University, and for many years to the C.B.C. Bill was a lifelong member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Winnipeg. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held Thursday, June 12 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Lukes Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips St. (339-0412), with reception to follow. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Hospice Centre, c/o Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7.
