JOYCE RAND (nee GUERTIN) Peacefully, with family by her side at the Victoria General Hospital, on June 11, 2003, Joyce Rand, beloved wife of Brian passed away at the age of 58 years. Joyce was predeceased by her mother Pearl Guertin in March of 1990. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brian; daughter Diane; son David and fiance Rachel Barber, her dad Norbert Guertin; brothers Norbert Jr. and wife Wilma and Richard; sister Pat Main and husband Ted and their daughter Celeste, all of Winnipeg. Her God Mother Joyce Levy and husband Sid of Oceanside, CA., as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Joyce was looking forward to the new and upcoming birth of their grandchild and addition to the Rand family. Joyce worked as a receptionist for Dr. D.E. Allen, D.C. At Joyces request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Father Paul Campeau officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. The family is most grateful to the Oncology Staff at the Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care, Dr. I. Maxwell and nurses, especially Ann as well as the 3rd Floor Staff who provided professional loving care to Joyce and her family. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Joyce to the Victoria General Hospital Oncology Department Redevelopment Fund, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8.
