Phil was born in Edmonton on May 20, 1938 and had lived in Winnipeg for most of his life. He married Dolores Fecyk in 1962. He had been employed in the plumbing industry all of his life. He and Dolores enjoyed their cottage at Matlock for 30 years and in the fall of 2002 moved into their permanent home in Matlock which they built themselves. Phil was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything or solve any sort of problem around the home or yard. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, carpentry and especially spending time with his family. Besides his beloved wife, he leaves surviving a son, Stephen (Patricia) and grandchildren Victoria and Iain of Winnipeg; and a daughter Lisa and grandson William of Matlock. At his request cremation has taken place and no formal funeral will take place. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, 386 Broadway Ave. Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6 or to the Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
