GARNET McKAUGHAN It is with deepest sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Garnet Hugh McKaughan at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, August 13, 2003. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Jocelyn and devoted sons, Bruce and Martin. He is also survived by his sisters, Elinore Reynolds and Frances Fryza of Winnipeg, Heather Bradley (Don) of Mississauga and a brother Angus McKaughan (June) of Port Alberni. Garnet was born in Winnipeg on October 3, 1938 and spent most of his life battling several major diseases. Although he was limited in his activities and travels, he did the most he could for as long as he was able. He enjoyed playing with his dog Maxine and time spent at their cottage in Matlock. We miss him very much. As Garnet requested, his earthly remains will be cremated and there will be no funeral or memorial service for him. We would like to thank all the wonderful staff in the ER and MICU at Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and care. For those who wish to express their sympathy, they are invited to make a donation in Garnets memory to the Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation, Manitoba Transplant Program or Post Polio Network.
