ALBA COLISTRO It is with great sadness that the family of Alba Maria Louise Colistro announces her passing on Saturday, August 16, 2003. Alba will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years Ralph; her daughters, Chris Therrien, Pat Vergata and Dina (Harvey) Bector; grandchildren, Corey, Samantha, Bianca and Kiana; sister Lionella of Italy; sister-in-law Irma of Vancouver; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Elvidia Cozzetto; and brother Francesco. Alba was born on September 24, 1937 in Grimaldi, Italy and moved to Winnipeg with her parents when she was 11 years old. She was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She touched many people through her generosity and kindness and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, August 19 at 8:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m., also in the Holy Rosary Church, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano as celebrant. Entombment will take place in the Holy Angel Mausoleum, Hwy. 1 East at Navin Road. The family would like to express their thanks to the St. Boniface M.I.C.U. staff, especially nurses Gail and Wendy for their care and compassion.
