ALBERICO GROSSI It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of Alberico Grossi, aged 70, on Monday, August 25, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. He was predeceased by his parents, Clelia and Antonio; and his brother Aldo. Alberico will be lovingly remembered by his wife Angiolina; three children, Sandy (Doug) May, Rob (Cheryl) and Gina (Brett) Wiebe; five grandchildren, Vanessa, Angela and Julie May and Michael and Stephanie Grossi; brother Alberto; and sisters, Aldina Gatta and Alba Caranfa. Alberico and Angiolina were married in 1958 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1963. He worked for various companies before retiring from Motor Coach Industries after 17 years of service. Alberico was an avid gardener and took great pride in growing some of the best vegetables in the city. His greatest joy was his grandchildren. Seeing them would always bring a smile to his face. They will dearly miss their Nonno. The family wishes to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre - GD4, CancerCare Manitoba and home care nurses for their excellent care. Many thanks also to all the family and friends who have shown great support over the last year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m., at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Interment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery.
