BURTON ORIN BERQUIST It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Burt Berquist, who passed away suddenly, on Saturday, November 8, 2003, in Pinawa, MB, at the age of 65 years. Burt is survived by his wife Jeannette; daughter Susanne (Rick) Nason of Brandon, MB. Burt was born the youngest of eight brothers and sisters in Newport, New Hampshire. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed telling tales of when he served in Okinawa, Japan. He was employed with the T. Eaton Co. warehouse for 27 years. Burt was a hard worker and loved to tinker. He was known for his great love of the outdoors and his adoration for his pet dog Sheena. No formal funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service was held Friday, November 14 at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Should friends so desire, a donation can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
