Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMORRIE POTERYKO May 12, 1928 - November 20, 2003 On November 20, 2003 Morrie Poteryko, aged 75 years, passed away at his Riverton Ave. residence. Predeceased by his wife Jean; father Michael; and mother Annie. Morrie is survived by his cousins, Gladys Ilumeniuk of Fisher Branch, MB, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Humeniuk of Winnipeg, Mr. and Mrs. Norm Poteryko of Vancouver, BC and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davidow of Fisherton, MB. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend Tillia (Elsie) Charney of Winnipeg; godson Chase Morrie Charney of Winnipeg; Linda and Allan Thurston and family of Richer, MB; William Steele of Carberry, MB; Mary Ann Charney of Vancouver, BC, son, Michale Sullivan Poteryko, and helpful neighbours Harvey and Mirleen Kittle. Morrie was born in the town of Hodgson, MB on May 12, 1928. He was employed at Singer Sewing Machine Company for 30 years, retiring in 1984. Morrie was a great fisherman. He loved to plant flowers in his yard, feed squirrels and birds all year around, and he loved his cats. Morrie was a member at Prince Edward Legion Branch No. 81 for 35 years. We will miss you "Papa Moe". Friends may call to pay their respects and attend a prayer service in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home on Monday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating Pastor Jim Poirier. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Allan Humeniuk, Walter Davidow, Allan Thurston, Lional Thomas, Joe Forte and Harvey Kittle.
