JODHAN RAMRATTAN June 14, 1938 - December 19, 2003 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Jodhan on Friday, December 19, 2003. Jodhan is survived by his wife of 42 years Datta (aka Rukhmin) children, Shalini (aka Javitri) (Sunil), Mahendra (Susan), Roy (Zena), Narini (KB), Rajen and Ray; grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Ashley, Julianna and Vanessa; sisters, Dularie, Datta and Lily (Hamid) in-laws, Dee-Dee, Pat, Maga (Dai), Dul-Dul (Edna) numerous nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends in Winnipeg, Toronto, New York, Florida and Guyana. Born at Meten-Meer-Zorg, Guyana. Came to Winnipeg in 1982. Jodhan worked for many years as an accountant with the Guyana Distilleries Limited. In Winnipeg he worked for 20 years mostly at Sears, Garden City and The Winnipeg Airport. Jodhan is fondly remembered by his sharp memory for numbers and dates of special events and Hindi songs and movies. Throughout his life he was an active member of his community. Most notably he was a founding member of the DeWillem Hindu Temple in Guyana in 1960s. He remained an active member of the Arya Samag Association in Winnipeg. He was a pillar of support to the villages where he grew up and lived in Guyana. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Garry Memorial, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. GARRY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, CEMETERY & CREMATION CENTRE 1291 McGillivray Blvd - 925-1120
