GERARD BUCKET Peacefully on January 1, 2004, Gerard passed away at the age of 97 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Mary (Whelane) son Charles of Winnipeg; daughter Agnes Moodie of Gimli; granddaughter Dianne Gold of Winnipeg, Linda Pawliuk and husband Perry of Montreal, Gerald Moodie and wife Sharleen of Toronto; also two great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. Gerald was born in Roeselare, Belgium in 1906, came to Canada in 1924 where he married Godlieve (Bossuyt). Dad was the last of his siblings. Father was a hardworker and provider. He was loved dearly not only by his family for his kindness, caring and keen sense of humour, but by all who knew him especially the residents of St. Peter and Paul Manor. Gerards wishes were to be cremated. This having occurred, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9 at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St. with Father Lucien Roy presiding. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. "We will miss you."
