FERNANDO CABRAL Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, our beloved husband, Papa and Vavo, passed away at his home on January 13, 2004. He also leaves his grandchildren who he deeply cherished and welcomed each day, Ethan, Noah and Nadia. Papa immigrated to Canada in 1969 from Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Acores. He was a great provider for his family, working in a variety of jobs as a general labourer in the construction industry, until his retirement from Canadian National Railway. Papa loved to spend his summer days working in his garden and couldnt wait for harvest time when he would show off the fruits of his labour. The family would like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the WHRA Palliative Care Program, who made sure Papas last few days were comfortable. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to donate in his memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Prayers will be said Thursday, January 15, 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. North.
