ANDREW (ANDY) POLOSKI Suddenly, on January 17, 2004 after a courageous fight, Andrew George Poloski passed away at Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 63. Andy was a loving and caring individual who will be forever remembered by his wife Florence, daughter Shelly (Mike) Thomas, sons, Tim (Kirsten) and Jason and precious grandchildren, Kyle and Corby Thomas and Carley Poloski. He is also survived by his brothers, Ed (Jackie) Poloski, Frank (Verna) Bannish, Jim (Mavis) Bannish, sister Sophie Grochowich and sister-in-law Bernice (Bryan) Palmer as well as several nieces and nephews. Andy was employed for 25 years by McGavin Foods where he drove many miles and made many friends. He loved the outdoors and in the summer enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing and his annual moose hunting trips with his special buddies. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Selkirk United Church, Rev. Steve Wilson officiating, with cremation to follow. Friends and relatives may call for viewing at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg R3E 0V9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
