JEANNE POSALUKO 1929 - 2004 On January 30, 2004 after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and support of her family, Jean passed away peacefully at home. She was predeceased by her parents Ann and Michael Posaluko and brother Nick. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Robert (Donna) and daughter Lyn; siblings, Mary Morin (Lloyd), Minnie Penwarden, Annette Rodzinski (Gordon) and Mike Lesko (Leona), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom was born in Stead, MB on June 9, 1929 and was one of five children where they made their living as farmers. As a young adult she moved to Winnipeg with her sister Mary. Among the many jobs she held, the fondest memories were in the early 1960s at the Fort Garry Hotel as a telecommunications operator, the Charter House as a waitress and the Dakota Hotel as a bartender then moving to the dining room until retiring. Moms life was her family, always putting us first. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens and cooking the traditional Ukrainian meals. Mom had a smile to brighten your day and would lend a hand to anyone in need. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
