JOSE (JOE) RIBEIRO RAPOSO Monday, November 30, 1931 - Sunday, February 29, 2004 On Sunday, February 29, 2004 our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 72 years at the Health Sciences Centre from chronic illnesses. Jose leaves to cherish his memory, and he will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Maria Conceicao; daughter Rita, son-in-law Ernesto; grandchildren, Diogo, Joshua, and Laurence; sister Almerinda in Portugal; and brother Joao in the U.S.A. He was born, and raised in S. Miguel-Azores, Portugal until he came to Canada in 1957. A carpenter in Portugal, he worked in Canada at C.N.R. and C.P.R., until he retired in 1995. Prayers will be recited on Tuesday (tonight), March 2 at 5:30 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., friends and relatives are welcomed by the family for visitation, and viewing, between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., also on Tuesday at the Knysh Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N., with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. We will always remember him for his determination, honesty, and trust. We will miss him, and love him forever.
