ALBERT PRASEK On March 4, 2004, at the age of 84, our dear father, Albert passed away peacefully at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Kelley (Debbie), Marlowe (Sue), Delanie (Pierre Naday) and Tara-Lee (Kelly Cinq-Mars ) and their mother Doreen. His memory will continue on in his beloved grandchildren, Ainsley, Chase, Mackenzie, Tanner, Jersey, Baxter and Cooper. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, many closes friends and countless acquaintances. Albert always had that special smile for his friend, Aurore and hed have a heartfelt goodbye for his big sister Francis and his little brother and best friend Leslie. Albert was born and raised in Whitemouth Lake, MB. He and his brothers grew up knowing and loving a good days work and Albert said, "If someone is smart enough to build it, I should be smart enough to fix it." A heavy equipment operator by trade, his work life included cutting and hauling pulp, dragline operator, truck driver, school bus driver and in his last working years, running a small general store in Vassar, MB. If Albert had but one regret, it was if he could only take one more trip. Hed drive with friends and family anywhere someone was willing to go, he was on several cruise ships and he loved his visits to the lake and it didnt much matter what lake it was. He was devoted to his family and took a keen interest in the lives of his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his kindness and his patience. He was always a gentleman and a friend and he truly appreciated the people he knew. If he only knew how thankful we all are that we got to know him. The hardest thing in life to bear, Is to want your Dad and hes not there With broken hearts, we whisper low, We love you Dad and miss you so. As long as we live, we will always be glad That we were your family and that you were our Dad. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road. Interment will follow at the Holy Angel Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Prasek, Dave Boutang, Elton Pavlick and Palmer Pederson. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Golden Door Nursing Home and the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit.
