ALMA EDITH POFF (NEE CRUMP) Peacefully on March 5, 2004 at Victoria General Hospital. Alma will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Gerald, son John and wife Joyce of Winnipeg, son Tom and wife Lorna of Toronto, son Jim and wife Lisa of Vienna, Virginia, and by her grandchildren Allison, Brian, Ian, Hilary, Melanie and Kelley. She was predeceased by her sister Jean and her brother Edgar. Alma was born in Winnipeg on March 10, 1918, graduated from Kelvin High School was a graduate of the Radio College of Canada and served as a wireless operator in the Commonwealth Air Training Plan during the Second World War. Alma will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, for her keen bridge play, avid gardening and her lively conversation. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Alma during her illness by members of unit 5 South, Victoria General Hospital. At Almas request, immediate cremation has taken place with a private interment service to follow at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
