Maria was predeceased by her husband Americo; son Americo; sisters, Godiva (Manuel) Medeiros and Lexandrina (Arthur) Tavares; brother Jose De Sousa Moniz; sisters-in-law, Maria (Luciano) Dos Reis and Eileen De Sousa; brothers-in-law, Tobias (Rosa) Policarpo and Manuel (Lexandrina) Policarpo, Fernando Medeiros and Germias Barboza. She is survived by her sons, Arthur and Americo; sister Altina Medeiros of New Bedford, MA; brothers, Manuel (Maria) De Sousa of Woodstock, ON and Arthur De Sousa of Brandon, MB; sisters-in-law, Cecilia (Miguel) Duarte of Salga, Sao Miguel, Acores, Amelia Barboza and Liberia De Sousa Moniz; brother-in-law Antonio (Maria) Policarpo of New Bedford, MA; grandchildren, Sabrina and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Tyman, Ainsley, Ocean, Dream and Freedom; many nephews and nieces in Canada, United States and Portugal.
