JANET ROBERTA TRYHURN January 24, 1926 - March 12, 2004 Our beloved mother and grandmother, Janet Roberta Tryhurn, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Deer Lodge Centre. Janet will be greatly missed by her daughter and only child Margaret Scott and by her grandchildren, Carol and Billy. Others she leaves to mourn are brothers, Godfrey (Esther), Ralph, Harvey, sisters, Rita and Marie, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and many friends. Janet was predeceased by her husband Sydney Wayne Tryhurn (Jimmy) in 1966. After this she left Portage la Prairie and moved to Winnipeg where she worked until retirement. She lived independently until her fall last April 2003. A traditional wake was held at the Wellness Centre at the Birdtail Sioux First Nation on the evening of March 15. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 16 at the Birdtail Sioux Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dave Thiessen officiating. Interment was at the Can Kaga Otina Cemetery. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service of Russell was in care of the arrangements. The family acknowledges relatives, friends, Chief and Council who assisted with the wake and funeral arrangements. Many thanks also to Dr. Warren and the staff of Deer Lodge, 4 East and to Riverview Health Centre where Janet spent time for rehab prior to entering Deer Lodge Centre.
