KAREN ADELE POSNICK (DROBOT) AUGUST 12, 1956 - MAY 12, 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce, on a beautiful day in May at her home in Maple Ridge, BC, after a courageous battle Karen passed away. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Dale; father Harry Drobot (Grace) mother-in-law Muriel Posnick; sister Anna Still (Bob), Dale, Kara and Denis; brother Jeff; brothers-in-law Wayne Posnick (Linda), Amber and Samantha, Keith Posnick; sister-in-law Donna Twomey (Brian), Cara and Derrick, and many good friends and relatives. Karen was predeceased by her mother Alphild Drobot and father-in-law Don Posnick. Karen was born and educated in Selkirk, MB. She graduated from the Selkirk School of Psychiatric Nursing in 1983. She married her husband Dale shortly after and they moved to Alberta, and then on to British Columbia where they made their home. Her work was most important to her, she was a caring and compassionate nurse. Karen took great pride in her lovely home and yard. She also enjoyed doing many crafts. Her feline friends Pharoah, Isis and Circe were a constant joy and comfort to her. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of their own choice.
