DAISY MAY RANTA Daisy May Ranta (nee Tymchak) passed away suddenly at her Fort Fances, ON, residence, May 15. She was 84. Daisy was born June 5, 1919, in Winnipeg where she was educated and later employed at T. Eatons Mail Order Store and numerous other jobs. Living there until the 1950s, she moved to Fort Fances where she met Jorma Renta. They were married September 21, 1954. Jorma passed away June 7, 1982. Walking uptown almost every day, she made many people smile along the way. The Harbouridge Restaurant was often host for her coffee where she chatted with her many friends. Daisy has a daughter Senja Holbrook, son-in-law Lawrence L. Holbrook, a granddaughter Cynthia, a grandson Brian, a great-granddaughter Tynika who is Brians daughter. She also had numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Walker, Mary Tymchak, Teenie Contie and brother, Carl Tymchak, all of Winnipeg. Her brothers, Mike, Joe and John Tymchak predeceased Daisy. A memorial service will be held at the Fort Frances, ON, Joy of Life Fellowship Church, Saturday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will follow. Donations may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society.
